The ADP National Employment Report is expected to show that U.S. private employers added 185,000 jobs in November, compared with a gain of 235,000 jobs in the previous month. Separately, the U.S. Labor Department will release the revised data for third-quarter nonfarm productivity and costs.

Wall Street’s indexes edged lower as gains in technology stocks were capped by a drop in Walt Disney’s shares, while investors assessed how a Republican tax overhaul would impact corporate earnings.
