Yesterday’s day trading was a disappointment for me; it was the first time since May 2024 that I’ve made three consecutive mistakes. I attempted to trade on the short side, which unfortunately resulted in losses. Despite my setbacks, the Nasdaq ended the day in positive territory, while my account took a hit. My aim is to recover those losses this week.
Today marks the release of the CPI data, and I’ve decided not to trade during the US market opening. Instead, I’ll wait a few hours to assess if the market trades within last week’s range and whether it gets rejected. Yesterday, sellers had a chance to push prices below the election gap but didn’t capitalize on it. If they make another attempt today, I’ll be ready. If not, I’ll keep the lessons from yesterday’s pain in mind.
