The futures of SP500  (ESU4) traded to 1944 (we changed contract) and gave up some mix signals   Trading long the SPY with Options   Going long VXX (Long term)   Taking profits on the GLD trade. There is cash entering the markets, there is a good chance we trade to the highs again.

I gave a gain of about 2.6% on the VIX trade from yesterday. I am taking some profits. Set a trailing stop or trim your position: I am taking 20% out and setting a breakeven for about 30% of the entire position. Important levels: Yesterday’s Low Close – cutting risk if we get to those levels

The broad market advanced today. The Russell 2000 outperformed other indexes by climbing up 1.04% while the S&P 500 gained only 0.38%. The NASDAQ 100 pushed to new six-week high today. Volume for the S&P 500 was 1,634 million shares today, 22% less that the average daily volume of the past 3 months.
