The White House is expected to unveil its vision for banking regulation early this week.

President Donald Trump has vowed to do a “big number” on the Dodd Frank financial reform law, introduced in the wake of the financial crisis. In practice, he does not have the numbers in Congress to overturn the law. Instead, Wall Street is expecting relief for community banks and, importantly for them, a relaxation of stress tests and resolution planning.
