Dear friends and investors,
As we truly kick off this week, it’s clear we’re stepping into a period rich with market developments. A glance at the year-to-date S&P 500 futures chart reveals an upward trajectory, as we continue to navigate the recovery from recent tariff announcements.

Reflecting on the first month, we’ve witnessed a complex interplay of forces: European equities have gained strength, crude oil prices have dipped, while gold has soared. Among the most significant macro developments is the proposition of a balanced US budget. Should this materialize, we could anticipate a stronger dollar. Additionally, the proposal for reduced corporate tax rates, particularly for manufacturing within the US, marks a potentially game-changing policy shift. This could invigorate equity markets, propelling growth beyond traditional valuation metrics. In the other hand, the indexes are not cheap.
Turning to our options portfolio, over the last three to four years, we’ve noted a marked increase in trading volume for very short-term equity and index options. This shift has fundamentally altered how institutional investors manage their portfolios, challenging traditional models to capture alpha in new ways. I’ve personally dedicated significant effort to refining the info our risk models read that were mainly unaltered since 2006, focusing on optimizing both market exposure and time decay in these short-term options placements.
Last two years, trading volumes have soared into the trillion-dollar range for short-term hedging positions, particularly within the six major sectors. This has compelled market makers to rethink how they manage gamma exposure, reflecting a broader, more dynamic market behavior in recent years. R Option Model mainly.
Looking ahead, it’s crucial I continue to adapt the strategies to these, likely to stay, market conditions. I am eager to demonstrate these insights through real trading records from my personal account, and subsequently within the fund, to explore how we can actively participate and capitalize on my live work.
