Energy shares weighed on major indexes as U.S. oil slipped to 6-1/2 year low, offsetting upbeat U.S. retail sales data and a jump in Cisco’s shares. Treasuries dropped as concerns eased over further losses in the yuan. Gold snapped gains on strengthening dollar.

$Commodities are oversold

FOMC minutes will be released at 2:00 pm ET.  The market is positioned for very dovish minutes.  If the minutes are hawkish, expect stocks to fall. SP Futures need a lift to trade about yesterday’s high.
