Why market participants are selling so aggressively?

Most of the Equities Indexes around the world are negative YTD. 

Bovespa is positive and Nasdaq is 0.8% at of the close of today. Nobody in the world can with a high degree of certainty predict future prices on the other hand we can review data, extrapolate it and make scenarios that can help as a guide in the near future.
